Prosilio Restaurant

Summer means Greek island, relaxing evenings with good company in fragrant gardens. Summer, in other words, means “Prosilio”, the new restaurant to appear just besides the square of Solomos, in the center of Zakynthos town. The minimal interior with the open kitchen is just a welcome in a beautiful, ambient garden, with floral touches and an exotic Moroccan corner to enjoy the house cocktails, all with Zakynthian names. Who can say no to such a “Vegera”? (Vegera means invitation in Zakynthian language / house cocktail with Amorgian baked raki, molasses and ginger liqueur).

When love for cooking meets the particularity of Zakynthian products, the combination to occur can be nothing less than an explosive creation of flavors. In “Prosilio” restaurant, the chef Krystalia Karageorgou approaches the Greek cuisine in a unique way. Using innovative techniques, such as smoking materials in a private room of the restaurant, solely made for this purpose, the chef creates dishes that can satisfy even the most demanding palates.

Dakos (bread rusks) with Zakynthian frise, aromatic prentza cheese and grinded tomato with organic olive oil. White fish roe mousse with crispy small prawns and tomato. Asparagus pichti (gelatin salad) with smoked chicken and tomato Tartare. Meatballs with lemon verbena, aromatic salad and feta cheese sauce. Homemade smoked pork steak with sauteed baby potatoes and pear chutney. Spaghetti with prawns, mussels, mango sauce, white wine and cream. Bitter chocolate cake with caramelised hazelnuts. All of the above are just some of the dishes offered in “Prosilio” restaurant. An excellent selection of more than 100 wine labels can be added into the unique variety of dishes, both from Greek and foreign vineyards. There is the possibility to serve a glass of any wine in the restaurant with the Coravin method.
